Everyone wants to be great. Very few people want to be coached.
Michael Jordan had Phil Jackson and Tom Grover.
Tiger Woods had coaches.
Tom Brady had trainers, QB coaches, mentors.
Serena Williams had coaches her entire career.
Caitlin Clark didn’t get there alone.
The greatest athletes in the world — people at the absolute top — still had someone guiding them, correcting them, pushing them.
Why?
Because you can’t see your own blind spots.
As I go through these 90 days trying to get in the best shape of my life, I’m reminded how important it is to have someone in your corner. Someone who challenges you. Someone who keeps you accountable. Someone who tells you what you need to hear — not just what you want to hear.
Shout out to Paul Amato for being one of those voices. The perspective. The push. The accountability.
If you’re trying to level up in anything — fitness, business, life — don’t try to white-knuckle it alone.
Greatness is coached.
